Third Post Midterm: Philosophy and Social Roles. Section 8- Teshell Gales

In today's society many wonder what are the roles of a child. Should a child have a voice? Should children be exposed to certain things? Is it alright for children to go off and work as well as their parents?
According to Plato a child's main goal is to focus on education. Plato feels as if a child should spend their years focusing on reading, writing, and the poets. Today, children have to go to school and perform some of the same subject Plato agreed on.

But is that it? What other responsibilities should a child have? Children should definitely have household chores. I think giving children chores shows them how to appreciate the value of hard work. In the real world, nothing will be giving to you so it is important to show children you have to work for everything you get. Because nothing in life is free.

Giving them responsibilities also prepare them for future jobs. In today's society man children come from single parent families in which they need to help out as far as in financial income. Giving them chores pretty much gives them that boost of how things work in the work field. Other roles children play is being respect towards their parents and obeying them.
