Ockham section 11 group 4

I wasn't in class Tuesday and I couldn't find my groups post for today so I just posted my own. 1. Who rejected Aristotles proof of God. (Ockham) 2. Do you think by using logic and reasoning that we could ever describe and understand reality?

  1. i have no idea what is going on with our group posts etc.
    so i'll answer Jared's question.

I think that logic and reason *could* be used to understand reality- but it would have to be a universal understanding or awareness, and I am not sure that that is possible. I think many people struggle using logic and reason to rely on an explanation for the universe, but ultimately I think that whatever the explanation is- it is beyond worldly concepts like logic, and maybe that's why it is so hard for us to understand.

    what is ockham's razor??
a principle that encourages to always seek a simple explanation over a complex one.

do you agree with ockham? do you think seeking a simply answer is better than trying to explain everything using logic and reasoning to explain our universe?
