taoist of two

Alright! So last class we sat in the grass and talked about how it if the idea that when you acknowledge positive attributes of God you are abolishing his existence seems unreasonable, because no one wants to believe in a negative deity.
We also talked about whether or not suffering is necessary for living. Kaleb says: "Suffering is necessary so that you can help others who are experiencing suffering. If you haven't experienced it, then you are ignorant and unable to have true knowledge and understanding."

Do your thing.

  1. I think that making positive references to the God you believe in is only right, considering the fact that no one wants to believe in a negative God. I mean, it's wise to acknowledge the fact that God can let bad things happen and to never think that life will be perfect but also wise to identify the positive attributes as well. I also completely agree with Kaleb regarding the issue of whether suffering is necessary. If your never sad or upset, you won't truly know how it feels to be genuinely happy.

  3. I believe suffering is necessary because it teaches us as humans to cope and deal with our emotions. It strengthens us and helps us to mature as human beings.
