(12) 1st Installment- Loreal Rochelle-Penman
My topic will be on Christianity and philosophy. Christianity is one of the world's most viewed and biggest religion. Christianity began on the day of the Pentecost according to Acts chapter 2. Everything around Christianity has to do with philosophy, the philosophy of Christianity is a way of life. Christianity involves the reasoning behind human life, so ultimately the question what makes us real? Christians have a powerful connection with God even though they have never seen him. They act in a way that they think will please their God. They get up every morning and know they have seen another day because their God has let them see it. They rejoice on Sunday mornings in churches praising him for all of the things he has done. This all revolves around the golden rule "Do unto others" Bible Verse (Golden Rule Bible Verse) Matthew 7:12 - "So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you." Most Christians live by this rule, but a abundance do not live by this rule. They claim that they are Christians but do or participate in racist, homophobic, or sexists thing. In my next two installments I will give examples of people claiming to be Christians, but not living by the Golden Rule their God gave them. Ultimately making their philosophy of Christianity false.
