He looked at what happened in South Carolina on Saturday. He looked at what was likely to happen in the many states that will vote on Tuesday. And he recognized that he had no path to the Democratic presidential nomination and that staying in the race would probably help Bernie Sanders, the rival he had branded a dangerous nominee.

I wonder if this decision by Mayor Pete was made by his campaign alone, or if a line of communication was opened up with him and Biden's campaign. Since it came right before Super Tuesday, I have a hard time seeing this as anything else as a strategic effort to bolster Biden's moderate support. That's not to say this would be wrong in any way—just politics as usual. I find myself Elizabeth Warren would do the same...
ReplyDeleteI find it funny that a party which prides itself on "diversity" has none in it's current major candidates. They all seem to play on the give free stuff away demographic and a rush to the furthest left.
