What an inspiration, Mandela, who endured decades of imprisonment and managed not to become embittered... before achieving freedom for himself and his people, and becoming their president.

I get the impression that he understood the frailties of mankind better than most of us. He took everything in stride and managed to rise from the lowest possible position all the way to the top. Do you think he could have become president had he not forgiven those that imprisoned him?
I have to agree with with Dr. Oliver, it’s amazing that Mandela went through all of those hardships and still managed to be an inspiration to a nation and the world. Section 6
Fun fact about Mandela: one of the first things he did in office was lift the ban on imported music, allowing South Africans the ability to listen to all of your favorite musicians!
