I believe that the media exaggerates some stories in order to cause a mass hysteria. I Know that some stories on the news are horrific, tragic , and true, but some stories are played up in an effort to fuel the fire and bring in more views.
From what I’ve heard, it’s just like a cold or the flu for most people. Only those with already weakened immune systems are in any danger. That being said, I think we should take common sense precautions. Today, they were handing out Clorox wipes to clean workspaces in the animation lab which I hope is something other labs on campus will consider.
From what i understand this is about as bad as the common flu, use common sense precautions to take care of yourself and small preparations are always useful.
Since Barack Obama has stepped away from the cutthroat theater of politics, I believe that he's become a trusted voice of reason in these divisive, trying times. I respect his statement on coronavirus precautions and also believe that his intention not to endorse a democratic presidential candidate until the DNC chooses one at the convention so as not to sway public opinion is a very admirable decision.
I read this morning that The number of cases of corona-virus in the UK has risen to 90 after three new cases were confirmed in Scotland on Thursday morning. -Dominic Gilbert

ReplyDeleteThat’s the truth. It’s really how people and the media exploit information that the public really need and causing panic or false hope in the process.
