Section 14 Group 1

In class today we discussed how the theories of Hume and Rousseau impacted their own time periods, and how it can affect the decisions and thoughts of today. We also discussed our own philosophies concerning voting, as today was election day. We finished a score card today, and tallied up the results from both scorecards together.

  1. FQ: (T/F) Kent believed that emotion should never play a role in moral decisions.
DQ: Which side are you on? Do the intentions or the consequences matter more when making moral decisions?

  2. FQ: What is priori knowledge?
DQ: Do you think that a selfless act can be a selfish act if the other person gets anything out of it? Like, if I feed the homeless to make myself feel like I am a good person, does this make me selfish?
