5(16) Kirkegaard

Monday we had Kirkegaard. The book didn't really have a lot on Kirkegaard. It mostly focused on Neitzsche. Our questions were:
Factual: What was the name of Kirkegaard's book? Fear and Trembling
Discussion: Does religion necessarily make one happier?
I think religion does make some people happier. They aren't necessarily happier than the rest of humanity though. Without religion, people would find something else to preoccupy themselves with. It's kind of a "to each his own" type of situation.

Wednesday we've got the poets. It's kind of a long section, but it's pretty cool if you're into the poetry thing.
My factual: What was the Percy Bysshe Shelley's first atheist pamphlet? A. The Necessity of Atheism
Discussion: Does tolerance seem more attractive than disbelief?

  1. I like that discussion question a lot. I think that while the answer is typically yes, another question would be "is tolerance more attractive than belief". so thats my discussion question!
Factual question: how were the poets received?
    Matthew Williams
