Modest Mouse (posted for Stephen Sanders, #8)

It’s hard to remember, we’re alive for the first time, and we’re alive for the last time. It’s hard to remember that our lives are such a short time, when it takes such a long time. – Modest Mouse (2000)

My original project was over Albert Einstein’s philosophical endeavors, but let’s be honest that’s quite boring and taking the easy way out. I instead had a different thought this morning while working overnight for Fed-Ex. It’s hard to believe that these past 5 years have gone by so quickly, there was so much I wanted to achieve by now that I haven’t. Granted my goals as an 18 year old were a little too far fetched or unattainable, but it seems as though I have given up on my dreams and settled.

We get so caught up in our day-to-day tasks that distract us from the much more fulfilling side of life. Instead of being someone you hate and doing nothing about it, take charge and make your life more fulfilling. Hope without action is only going to lead to further disappointment. So go out and pursue your dreams, no one is going to hand you anything in life that you haven’t deserved.

This is your life, your only life to live and you should live it the way YOU want to live it because before you know it, You won’t have the opportunity to live, before you die.

  1. You find Einstein boring?

Anyway, I think he'd agree with your message here. Carpe diem, etc.

(I had to repost this for you because, for some reason, it originally posted on my personal blogsite. If you'll send me your email I'll send you an Author invitation. Otherwise, just send me your 3d installment next week. jpo)
