Are we caught up in a self-perpetuating feedback loop? Are we open to changing what we believe when faced with uncomfortable truths? It can be tough to step back and reevaluate ourselves but it’s worth the effort to occasionally do so.
"Whatever your actual, objective identity is — if such a thing even exists — is always a step ahead of the frameworks you design to capture it, and this attempt at capturing drags with it a past that may no longer be relevant." Hmmm. A step ahead, or behind? Or does that even matter, if the point is that our quest for self-knowledge is doomed from the start. But is that true? Don't we come closer to constructive self-understanding when we make the effort to know ourselves, even if total objectivity eludes us?
