Elon Musk - Final Draft (Section 11)

In today's age, much of our consumed energy is from non-renewable resources.  Elon musk is trying his best to change that.  Musk's core vision of the future is to allow anyone to be able to move to mars and gas cars will be like "steam engines."  He has the perfect companies to do this with as well.  Musk's vision unifies his companies extremely well, mainly because they have a large chance of benefitting each other in the future. These companies are Tesla and SpaceX.  Tesla is a car company dedicated to changing the world from gas cars to electric.  SpaceX is the first space company to successfully create a completely reuseable and powerful set of rockets.  These two are connected with Musk's vision because, with SpaceX, he wishes to make colonization of Mars possible.  Tesla supports this vision with Tesla's latest reveal, the Tesla Cybertruck.  In a tweet, Musk stated that the pressurized version of the truck would eventually be used on Mars.  Electric cars would be vital in space, due to there being no known oil deposits on the red planet.  The only reliable source of energy would be from the sun, which Tesla also specializes in, using Tesla Solar.  Musk has built the perfect system for the future of humanity, making it possible to thrive in space with a renewable source of energy.

Tesla has accomplished much in terms of convincing the world electric cars were possible.  Before 2011, many companies would not even try to make a reasonable electric car, because the basic idea of them was that they could not go very far, took forever to charge, and were painfully slow.  Tesla proved these initial thoughts wrong with its fast electric cars, including the supercharging system all across North America, allowing for a full charge in under 30 minutes.  Changing the world's view on sustainability was the first step Musk needed to accomplish before he could actually implement it. With supercharging available in all of their markets, Tesla is well on the way to introducing the world to a sustainable future.  With having electric cars being one part of sustainability, it is not truely clean energy using coal or oil plants.  This is why Tesla offers Tesla Solar. With either solar panels or solar roof tiles, Tesla gives the option to power the electric car with truly sustainable energy.

Combining both Tesla and SpaceX makes for a rather interesting future for humanity.  Elon Musk knows this and it helps to unify his core vision for humanity.  Having vehicular sustainability is important for space travel because the only known source of reliable energy is the sun, so that is the only way to be able to travel across planets.  Musk is mainly motivated to accomplish success in these companies mainly to change to the course of humanity's future.  He thought Tesla would fail, and the only point of it was to show the world that electric engines were possible.  Elon Musk is not motivated by corporate greed like most companies.  He is willing to take risks and put the companies at stake for the greater good of humanity.  Elon Musk leads humanity to the future.

Quiz:
1. What has Tesla helped the world see is possible?
2. What is Elon Musk's core vision?
3. What two products does Tesla offer?

Discussion:
1. Do you think the world will accept the future of electric engines? Also, why or why not?
2. Will Elon Musk accomplish his ultimate goal of creating a sustainable future in the stars?
3. Is Elon Musk a crazy dreamer or a genius that knows what is doing?

  1. Discussion Question 1.
I personally do not think people will accept the future of electric engines because they will be more concerned with other factors such as the price to create those electric engines and their durability when compared to modern cars.

  2. I personally think that the age of electronic cars are in the near future, as the consumption of fossil fuels are becoming quite the important issue. However, as long as there are the Giants of the oil buisness, there will always be people that care more about making money than the current state of the world.

Elon Musk is more of a risk taker than being straight up crazy, but I think he will be an important voice in years to come.

    Dear
    @ElonMusk
    ,

When are you going to stop dallying with Mars Rockets & Hyperloops & Electric Trucks & Brain-Computer interfaces, and turn your ample resources to developing a Warp Drive?

    Sincerely,

If we create a city on Mars, Earth-Mars travel will be a powerful forcing function for inventing something like warp drive
