Kelsey Tucker, Aevan Amus, and Lucas Little

Francis Bacon is known as the father of empiricism and the scientific method. He was born on January 22nd, 1561 in London, England. He lived until April 9th, 1626, we he died of pneumonia he caught while studying the effects of freezing on the preservation of meat. Known for his hands n approach to science, Bacon's contemporaries were none too surprised by the circumstances surrounding his death. Despite his legacy being almost entirely owed to his contribution to the scientific field, Bacon spent most of his life as a politician in England during Elizabeth's reign.
Bacon had a relatively hit-or-miss political career, while never particularly successful, it was very dramatic. Over the course of his career, Bacon participated in sentencing his mentor and benefactor to death, losing his fiance to his arch enemy, and being publicly disgraced by spending several days in the Tower of London.
