"The pluralistic form takes for me a stronger hold on reality than any other philosophy I know of, being essentially a social philosophy, a philosophy of 'co'"-William James
Somehow, that music just doesn't capture the thrill of victory for me. When my team wins in a walk-off, I want to hear something that rocks, that releases some adrenaline. Even Rocky Top would be better, no?
This started several years ago with the meme “ every great sports moment is better to Celine Dion” and since a lot of SEC awesome sports moments have been set to this music as well as other sports. As long as it’s the right version;)
I like Celine Dion and the "Titanic," but one of the more memorable moments I remember watching a football game was the Auburn-Alabama game when they put 1 second back on the clock so that the Alabama place kicker could attempt to kick a game winning field goal. It turned out to be short and the Auburn player ran it back for a touchdown. Talk about a swing of emotions in the stadium and at home for Auburn and Alabama fans, some in the same household. I am not sure what music would have been appropriate for that ending.

ReplyDeleteI love my Alabama Team and Celine Dion and the song but it just did not do it for this touchdown.
