That's almost plausible: no other way to explain the election of such an inept, ignorant, immoral bullshitter. On the other hand, the election of such a person might more plausibly be taken to argue the atheist position. And if the evangelicals' affiliation with him does NOT discredit and disgrace them, then there surely is no God.
