Eva Kor

Eva Kor passed away last week. She spoke here at MTSU a couple of years ago. She was a Holocaust survivor. She survived the twin experimentation of "Dr. Death" Josef Mengele. Her story is riveting and her ability to forgive a cathartic lesson in personal survival.

Here she is on You tube telling her story:

  2. Mitch, thank you for sharing. I am so sorry that I missed her visit here. What a powerful witness to the Holocaust and what an incredible individual who could forgive those who committed the atrocious acts on her and her family. A couple of months ago, I watched a movie "Denial." It is based on a true story of Deborah Lipstadt and her 1993 book `Denying the Holocaust'. In 1995 English author David Irving sued her for libel on the grounds that her book had ruined his once well-regarded career as an historian by accusing him of deliberately distorting historical facts. He is a holocaust denier. English law put the onus on her legal team to prove that the Holocaust did indeed take place. Watch it if you get a chance. Deborah is a professor in Atlanta, GA and I'm hoping on a visit to see my son, who lives in Atlanta, I might see if I can go by and visit her.
