Gautama Buddha who was the founder of
Buddhism who believed “life was suffering” which he better used the word “Dukkha”
in which he meant everything was temporary. He believed that attachment lead to
our demise, he taught over the years of ways people can find eternal peace and
joy instead of happiness which he stated was only temporary. Buddha used many
forms of teaching, he often focused on the mind through meditation and
controlling different emotions. Buddha had many philosophical theories of life,
he constructed the Four Noble Truths they are the truth of suffering, the truth
of the cause of suffering, the truth of the end of suffering, and the truth of
the path that leads to the end of suffering. He believed suffering exist but
the only way to extinguish suffering is more of a self-inner realization
method. By realizing there is suffering he believed you must know the cause of
suffering and to cut it off. He recognized the three deadly poisons which is
ignorance, attachment, and aversion; Buddha even quoted about anger is that “being
angry is like drinking poison hoping the other person dies”. Buddha considering
the fact he believed that everything in life was temporary there is no point in
being attached to the things on Earth. In the Buddha traditions they believe the
three deadly poisons are the cause to both physical and mental illness, which
they are related or express through animals a pig, snake, and bird.
