I was especially interested in how he would have thought he was talking to people that were in his imagination. I surely couldn't do that! I think that there is a lot of support to it. The world works out pretty nicely in nature for everything. Also, in the text the examples that Hume gave were not the most well supported.

As for my own group, I think that we can all tell that humans are social creatures. Thats why from the earliest points in recorded history humans grouped together to form tribes or what have you. Living a pretty lonely lifestyle is not the most healthy way to live.

Here is a short, but very interesting link on the Argument from Design: http://www.peterkreeft.com/topics/design.htmAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08179784707145217275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2619743764213415433.post-5066099589307119702013-10-28T16:26:44.075-05:002013-10-28T16:26:44.075-05:00And now for my ACTUAL post... xD
Factual Question...And now for my ACTUAL post... xD

Factual Question: Which philosopher believed that humans are innately good, and that within a state of nature, they can coexist peacefully? (Answer: Rousseau)

Discussion Question: Do you agree with Rousseau? That human beings are innately good, and that it's our social constraints that create the evil in the world that we perpetrate against one another?

I really liked our discussion in class about Berkely. I think we all sort of agreed that his idea was kind of preposterous, but it was definitely fun to discuss things and try to imagine the kind of thinking that would have to go into a philosophy like that. To believe that you are truly the only sentient being in the universe.

Link: This is one of my favorite writings from Rousseau.
