I never thought of it like that. I think it is good that he wrote of having a convo with philosophy because it is all about thinking and questioning things as philosophy does. It's like truly analyzing something instead of saying oh god said this and that and be done with it because he is omniscient . It is good for us to think for ourselves, you never know what you can truly trust. There are many sides to every argument and different perceptions. He was a philosophical man with a stoic view. In the prison he knew he was going to die, and even though his view was stoic he hoped for something bigger, something that would make his life continue when he leaves the physical world.<br /><br />FQ: What was Boethius?
