I am defining what a duty and a passion is. I will go into the financial reasons why people chose a job that is just a duty rather than finding ones true passion. I will explain how sometimes we cannot control what life throws at us and explain why getting a job that you might not be passionate about is a must. I will also include an example in class to show how many people have a job that is a duty.

I will be defining and breaking down what a duty is. I will also go in and describe and tell why it is more beneficial and how it is more positive to think of work as being a duty over a passion. I will also go into the beliefs of how the stoics think of work, as well as talking about the stoic philosopher Seneca and his way of thinking about duty in the workplace and how a duty will be more motivating and less stressful for a person

I will be defining passion, as well as talking about the importance of having passion in work.I will also include reasons why we need to be passionate in our job. I will also introduce some philosophers opinions about having passion at work.

I will talk about why you should pursue doing something that you like as a career and also how it factors into your performance while working. I will also talk about various philosophers (mostly Hegel) that talked about passions and why you should pursue them. Lastly, I will talk about some statistics on the debate of whether people pursue their career or not.

ReplyDeleteI've always been told, if you love what you do then you'll never work a day in your life but to find that dream job is hard. My dream job would be to never work but that's when it becomes a duty.
