I think what can be valued about them will change, for instance a young athlete won't value his athleticism in old age, however, people can find different parts of themselves to focus on and value as they age. Instead of increasing or decreasing in value they can adapt to their new age.

I think that the value of people vary obviously but I'd say that it increases as you age simply because your life is slowly coming to an end and you want to cherish and appreciate everyone before you die and let them know how important they are to you.

Well of course as a law that would be a quite silly one BUT I do think that it is important for grandchildren to visit their grandparents regularly. It is important for elders to know that they are loved and still cared for. It joys them to just get visits even if they were in a nursing home nothing makes their day more than just talking to someone. I think it would help out elders in being more joyous. The ones who don't have any visitors seem to be more ill.
