Midterm- Ann, Peyton, Allison

Our group's project focuses on philosophy in sci-fi movies.

Peyton- Peyton is analyzing the argument between Captain America and Iron Man in the movie Civil War. He focuses on Emanuel Kant's deontology vs utilitarianism.

Ann- My projects emphasizes philosophy in the Divergent series, and compares Tris's story to that of Socrates, and puts it in perspective of Plato's Utopia. I also mention the history of the idea of specilization throughout the world, both governments that supported the idea and that didn't, and their reasoning why.

Allison- Allison speaks about the Star Wars Series. She mentions Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates and puts everything in relation to whether or not they would support the Empire or the Rebellion, based on readings in class.
