Those of you planning to use one of the Open Court or Blackwell pop culture & philosophy books had best go ahead and order them, if our library doesn't have what you need. If you don't want to keep it, you can sell it to me when you're done with it.

ReplyDeletePhilosopher Chosen: Nostradamus
Depending on what your rep tells me when we consult on this, I might encourage you to rethink your topic. Nostradamus is not considered a philosopher by any credible philosopher I know. But you could report on why he's so widely misperceived as a philosopher, or why so many people are attracted to the idea that a fellow human could ever reliably forecast the future.
DeleteBlake Owens and I, Axle Rothberg will no longer have our partner Adam so we will present the topic ourselves.
DeleteGroup Member Added: Kyler Monroe.
DeleteNew Philosopher: Niccolo Machiavelli.
DeleteI don't have a group yet. I'd like to do the Matrix and philosophy, but I'm open to another topic. (#11)
ReplyDeleteMy group discussed procrastination and time management with Dr. Oliver, and how people like to say they work well under pressure, but that mentality only causes more pressure and stress.
