Final Blog Post Section 8 Group 1

"Free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having" -C.S.Lewis

As I previous stated, I believed free will is a test, but I also believe it has some benefits. A person will never truly be who they are so suppose to be, let alone know who they want to be unless they are allowed to make they're own choices. The best experiences, both good and bad have allowed me to grow into a better person.

Though I am not finished growing, I'm much further than I was which free will allowed me to do -C.S. Lewis also stated “For you will certainly carry out God's purpose, however you act, but it makes a difference to you whether you serve like Judas or like John.” I'm inclined to agree.

Everything you do will be in God's plan, however you get to choose how he uses you. I personally believe that free will is a necessary part of humanity, its honestly what makes us human. We have so many choices and options in this world, and are allowed the opportunity to say, do, go, learn, and experience anything that we want to.

Humans have the option of choosing our own path while still following the path that our creator has specifically designed for us whether we know it or not.

Free will may not be free, but you'll always get what you pay for meaning whatever choices you make regardless of good or bad, then end game will be the same.

A better way of explaining it would be either you can take the express way or the scenic route, either way the destination is the same, the obstacles are just different.

  1. There's a pretty yawning disconnect between "Everything you do will be in God's plan, however you get to choose how he uses you" and the question posed by the Santa-looking guy at the end of your post. Conceptually speaking, I don't see how to connect dots. Existentially, however, you're approaching this perennial puzzle wisely: act as if you're free, and keep on growing! Your belief may help create the fact. But if it doesn't, it'll at least give you the satisfaction of acting the part life has assigned you, and not merely spectating.
