Awareness
Good "Philthy" report this morning on intelligence and wisdom, the epitome of which is not knowledge but awareness. Attention. How ironic & tragic that the brilliant and hyper-aware DFW couldn't continue to hold it together himself. As he told the Kenyon class of '05, sustained awareness is hard. But it's doable. In any event it's worth attempting. This also reminds me of Stoic intelligence, among multiple others mentioned by Howard Gardner.
