Today our group continued the class discussion concerning oblivion. We talked about whether or not it was logical to fear it. Our group came to an agreement that we did not so much fear oblivion, but we did fear the actual experience of dying. This brought us into a discussion about DMT and whether or not people that are brought back to life are actually experiencing visions of heaven and afterlife OR just a DMT reaction in their brain. We related oblivion before life to Christian beliefs of where souls are believed to come from before birth. In conclusion, our discussion was all over the place. We did not come to any kind of agreement, but rather an interesting collection of ideas and thoughts.
Oh, and it was pretty cold!
