Section 10; Group 3

Back to the grind after a short break...

We finished our group presentation on Philosophy in and through Comedy, then took in the group discussion on Beauty.

FQ's/DQ's/Links and commentary here in the comments as per norm.

  1. FQ:
What was actually happening to Montaigne during his unconscious, pleasant drifting?

Have you ever had a near death experience? Did it cause you to think differently about anything?

I'm a big fan of Project Gutenberg -- a website full of free books to read online without any fees or registration. So I found the Essays of Michael de Montaigne, should anyone want to read it.

  2. Anonymous12:27 PM CDT

FQ: True or False: Montaigne never contradicted himself.

DQ: With death being an either or type of variable, do you believe in the term "near-death" in the context of how it is used?

Link: In the FXX show, The League, a character doesn't have a near death experience, he has a near death flex-perience to help him decide who to put into the flex spot of his fantasy football line-up. The series is on Netflix, but here is the review of that episode.
