Today we discussed a couple of different questions. To start with we discussed whether we thought people in positions of power consider the consequences of their actions or not. We came to the conclusion that it depends on the person's personality. An example that was brought up was the reaction of the police force in Ferguson and how they dealt with the protestors. The brutality of the police towards protestors showed that they did not consider the consequences of their actions which only made the situation worse. We also talked about right and wrong. We could all agree on the fact that if one to were to do something that harmed innocent people then it would be considered wrong. Additionally, we debated whether we as humans had the right to end another human's life as punishment for wrongdoing ex. Saddam Hussien.
