Section 9 Group 1

Yoan Konkobo Group 1 (Section 9)

1. According to the article "Sympathetic peripatetics," How did the word "Peripatetic" become the common word for the school located in the Lyceum?

2. What was the name of the school that Aristotle founded in Athens?

1. During the late third through early sixth century, while philosophers were scattered accross the globe due to the destruction of Athens, what do you think happened to all of them? Did they eventually return to the Lyceum or did they continue studying philosophy in secret?

2. What are some other ways early philosophers could have kept practicing philosophy after emperor Justinian closed all the schools in Athens?

Here are some links I found very interesting:

This link mentions Aristotle's claim that the soul is infinitely more important than the body.

This is a link about all living things' ultimate goal.... Happiness.
