Section 13 Group 3

Today in class we took a quiz on our past readings mostly Aristotle, then half of our group went outside for discussion and the other half stayed inside and discussed: Belief in a higher power, and moral evil vs metaphysical evil, and our beliefs in an afterlife.

  3. FQ: Epicurus thought fear of death was a waste of time. T/F

    DQ: The Gambler's Argument states that a good gambler would believe in God so that the winnings are more than what you lose. However, if you believe in one God, how can you be certain that it's the right one? Many religions say that if you believe in any other deity, then you will not be granted whatever the benefits are of afterlife in that religion. So by that logic, wouldn't a good gambler then choose NOT to believe in God?
