Section 13 Group 2 Summary 09/09/14

There wasn't much time for a good group discussion, however we did discuss one question briefly which pertaining to if questioning your religion was considered unfaithful.  We came up with a quote, thanks to Professor Oliver, by Thomas Jefferson that states "Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because, if there be one, he must more approve the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."  Basically meaning it must be okay to question your religion because that welcomes the idea of using reason and logic which is a quality in all of us.  One who believes in a god because of fear is only hiding oneself from the ultimate truth of our existence.

  2. You do realize that this is way late for an AUTHOR post? Better late than never, of course, but better still on time (before leaving the classroom on the day of your AUTHORship.

As for time: there's about to be plenty. See the note for BELL-RINGERS, under "Next". We're gonna "flip."
