  1. posting here because my author still has yet to post

our class was cut a little short last time because dr. Oliver had some business to take care of outside of class. my group still stayed until the normal time period and we discussed several different points of view on Karl Marx.

I did find our reading about Satre very intriguing.

FQ: Satre is often know as the father of what? (existentialist philosophy)
DQ: Do you agree with this statement by Satre and what do you thin it means? Being-in-itself and being-for-itself have mutually exclusive characteristics and yet we (human reality) are entities that combine both, which is the ontological root of our ambiguity.

  6. I couldn't dina my groups post either. Personally, I think all people are technically 'free', by our own mindset. We have the technical freedom to pick and choose to do anything. However, I believe in a sovereign God who knows everything. So from God's point of view, we all have our futures planned ahead before us.

FQ: What does "Les Deux Magots" mean? (The Two Wise Men)
DQ: Are human beings necessarily 'free', or do we have have a so-called 'destiny' to fulfill?
