Evening group! sorry for the late post, I hope everyone has had a great wednesday!! Today we saw some interesting presentation to say the least and had a very good discussion over whether people are bad or good. Needless to say it was a good class! have a great weekend and do not forget to do the readings and post!!

Presentation once again were great. I do not however believe it's easier to be bad. Zach said it well, it could be easy to be bad or good depending on the company you keep. Frankly I think being bad takes a lot of energy and unnecessary time. There are great consequences when you commit or make a choice to bad unlawful acts.
ReplyDeletePhilippa Foot made a good point about sacrificing one life to save many, but I think the way she explain the train scene really didn't make the choice that difficult because I was thinking if it's not enough time for the five to get off the track then it probably wasn't enough time to change the track. I don't know that part threw me for a loop to understand the parable on how there will be time to chose. If a situation of that sort was before a person in real life I believe it would be very difficult for them to decided. It's hard to choose about a person's life whether they are worth saving over many others or not. I wouldn't know what to do in that situation.

Presentations went great. And I think it's hard to say if it's easier to be bad or good. Because it all depends on what your definition of 'good' or 'bad' is. What some people deem as bad could be good for some people. And there's also actions or words that aren't necessarily good or bad. So, makes ya think.
