Oliver's Faves Group 3 Presentation


Our presentation is about 4 well-known cults and their relation to philosophy. There are 2 members per designated cult topic who are discussing the cult and what philosophical principles they were founded upon. 1 member is responsible for the introduction and conclusion as well as a brief transition/introduction into the next cult.

  2. Interesting report. But don't confuse cult leaders for philosophers. Real philosophers don't (for example) demand unwavering support and unquestioning submission from followers, nor do they commit mass atrocities or try to instigate phony race wars, nor do they invent goofy religious back-stories about immortal space aliens invading earth. Some cult leaders stop short of those extremes, of course, settling for deceit, manipulation, and dishonesty.

    And once again: if you're a murderer of one person you're a murderer, period. Law and morality do not differentiate that status based on the number of victims. Life is not a video game.
