Today, in class we discussed the conditional morality that brought about the idea of certain immoral actions being moral under certain circumstances such as lying to protect a friend, stealing a knife from suicidal people about to kill themselves. The group had different opinions on this matter. We also talked about how we as people can be stuck in the routine of society and forget to stop and smell the roses. We lose our ability to think and become intolerant of any other view or perspective other than our own. We also talked about seeing the world through different lenses. All of us have our own experiences in life that will make us respond differently to this discussion. Each of you has something that neither I nor the person beside me can offer. All of our inputs are valuable.  Try to employ each of these ideas into your answer.

1.) Situation: You have the fate of the world in your hands. A group of 5 terrorists have held the entire world hostage with the largest bomb ever created. Your 8 year old sister has the cure for every disease known to mankind within her bloodstream. The terrorists are trying to stop this cure from getting out into the world. They come to you with a simple trade; your sister for the world. Would you make the trade? Why? Would you trust them? Why? What in your personal life has influenced your decision in this particular situation.
