Nameless 8

no new news as of yet fellow philosophers!!! Wednesday we did our group presentations (minus 1) but overall I'd say we did a really well job. it was an interesting take on how we all viewed the essays we had chosen. the only thing that myself and a couple others didn't find too appealing was the rudeness of one or two during our project, but we will rise above and be more respectful. I hope everyone had a "fantabulous" weekend and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!

  3. FQ: Which of the three philosophers for todays presentation did our class go over?
DQ: Who has had more of an impact in history Socrates or Galileo?
First off forget the whole issue of the rude people. Secondly, I think we did great Molly. Here is a skit from Abbot and Costello and I thought it would be appropriate since Des Carte is after fall break http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh2E0z42RGA

I very much enjoyed taking part in this presentation. I liked everyone's videos and descriptions. The section and the meaning of water to kill the witch was very interesting, as well as the different theories behind dark side of the rainbow.
My factual question is derived from Little History of Philosophy: Who developed the Method of Cartesian Doubt?
For my discussion question I'd like to ask if you've ever experienced a dream that felt very, very real? Have you ever heard of lucid dreaming?
Since it's October, almost Halloween, I decided to include a link to article describing hidden philosophical meanings in certain classic zombie films:
