Who
would've thought a children's movie had so many philosophical
implications? But I guess it's Pixar, so we shouldn't be too
surprised. I'll be doing my final blog posts on the Toy Story
trilogy. These movies follow the lives of a group of toys who belong
to a boy named Andy. In the first movie, Andy is a young boy in
elementary school, and when the third movie comes to a close, Andy is
going off to college. The toys seem to be normal toys when humans are
around. However, when they are not in sight of humans, the toys come
to life. (As a kid watching the movie, I always wondered if my toys
did the same thing. How cool would that be?!) The movies focus on
what it's like growing up and the meaning and importance of
friendship. Well, this is just a short intro to my final blog
post series! Until next time, be sure to watch out for those snakes
in your boots!
Can't wait! I "grew up" on Toy Story too, Older Daughter must have watched the original film on video about 100 times. And I'll admit to shedding a little tear when Andy left for college, as she's about to do.
