I will just post to this. I liked our discussion. I found I kind of interesting that the philosophers name means something entirely different now, actually it is the opposite of what he taught. Our group discussed that we guess that the difference in meaning is because of people judging the Epicurus and his followers and thinking that they ate, drank, and sexually indulged themselves too much.
