Section 13 Group 2
Today in class we discussed Stephen Law. His main point of argument is: Is the argument that large quantities of suffering proof of the non-existence of God possible? We decided no, that is not enough. Though the discussion of that question related to other topics seems to prove that statement true, it on its own is not enough. We also discussed the amount of happiness in the world and the fact that we should not discount it.

Concerning Law, there is a lot of suffering in the world, however there are also a lot of good things. So I agree, suffering does not disprove God.
ReplyDeleteF- Lachs believes philosophy is the parent of all sciences. (true)
D- Do you agree with Lachs that philosophy will not die off in the future?
