Section 13 Group 2

On Tuesday we discussed the philosopher Hannah Arendt.  Our main point of discussion was an unthinking man, a dangerous man?  How can someone go on with their day to day life and do their job, without asking questions?  Whether what he is doing is right or wrong?  Though we also brought up that Hannah Arendt herself seem to contradict some of her own views.
This week we will discuss Judith Jarvis Thomson.  My discussion question is killing one man better than killing five? What are the consequences?  Does everything you do have a consequence, whether it be direct or indirectly?

Great discussion about banal nazis and whatnot. This next chapter is very interesting.

F- Did Thomson believe that women who used contraception and still became pregnant have to care for their baby?

D- Do you think a fetus is a person?
