7 and 1/2 Americans (Gr. 2 Sect 19)

Stephen Law's philosophy basically states that people, for some reason, believe in things they shouldn't because we are too intelligent as a race to believe these things like God and other things that are obviously not there.

F: Stephen Law Believes that we are sometimes too gullible when it comes to believing in things we shouldn't?

D: Is Stephen Law an Atheist? I would like to think that he is an Atheist because I myself am an Atheist and have brought up some of the same questions he has presented in his philosophy.

  1. F: Stephen Law believes that suffering is a form of evil? T/F

D: Is Stephen Law right in thinking that believing in God is not reasonable?

As a Christian, I obviously believe in God, so I don't wholly agree with his views. He made an interesting arguement, but it's one that's been made too many time on the whole 'if God exists why is there evil?' Debate.

  2. F: Who discussed the idea of good and evil in the world, in reference to the argument of God's existence? - Stephen Law
D: Is evil on the world proof that there is no God? If so, is good in the world counter-active proof that there is a God?

    (F) does law appear to believe in a God?
    (D) if there is a God, why would he allow us to live in a world full of suffering and pain
