section 13 group 3*(9/4/12)

Today our group discussed Aristotles main philosophy of seeking happiness. We went around the group asking what each individual what they thought made them happy. We also talked about the theory that you can never acheive full happiness but only short periods of joy. We then came to the debate that joy may or may not need a certian routine. We also discussed that money may give people joy but there is no proven correlation between money and happiness.

  2. Hello group. I think happiness comes in waves when joyful things happen in our lives.

I think we forget that we have to have sad times to appreciate the happy times.

  4. Some of Aristotle's philosophies are "you should look deeper into things," "the pursuit of happiness," and "every virtue lies between two extremes." I do agree with the third one.

  5. I think that happiness can never be achieved but small burst of joy can and that is what is on the pursuit to happiness, it is what keeps us on the journey to try to achieve it, or at least some small hint of it so we can say it does exist. Yes there are bad times... but those bad times usually are forgotten and make the good times that much more incredible. I also like the whole thought of looking deeper into things or even people because you will find out more about the world around you and understanding makes life easier so you can have more good times. Do you think is important to understand the deeper things in life that surround us?
