section 13 group 3 9/13/12

Today our group talked about regrets in life. we discussed the idea that life isnt too short, its that people waste their time while they are here. a debate came up on weather technology helped us use time more wisely or helped us waste time. we also discussed if killing yourself or having the guards kill you would be a better choice to die.

  1. I feel like fighting for your life your life is a more honorable way to die than to end it yourself. As well i think technology does both make us waste but use it better also.

I am going to agree with Austin on this one and say that i would definitely fight to the death to escape because it is brave and shows that we should fight for our beliefs instead of giving up. I think that technology has had a massive impact on our culture in that it makes us way more productive and we are in the age of information or the 24/7 news cycle but with that being said it is bad that some technology actually halts our progression such as a milk shake machine or other things that dont really help us. what technological advancement could have a major impact if it were taken away and why?

  3. I think that people decide whether or not they're wasting their lives. What one person may think of as living a fulfilling life might be what one person thinks is a total waste. It's all about what you want to do. So as long as you're happy you're not wasting your life :)

I personally believe who are we to decide if life is to short? I think that if God put us on earth for a divine purpose that we shouldn't take that for granted as being "to short" or "wasted time," because he didn't have to do it? We all could have died long before now as children, and most children do not waste their lives with media hype and technology. They go outside and play and don't worry about what tomorrow brings. I think that is what we all should do. Live a day at a time and be thankful to wake up in the morning and try again, whether that be something good or bad. It's whatever makes you happy and contributes to you making your everlasting footprint in the world.
