Section 13 Group 2 9/18
In our group discussion we discussed Boethius. Our main discussion was focused on whether if God was all-knowing then do we have free choice? We never came to a clear conclusion for the group but we did understand where Boethius was coming from. We talked about whether or not maybe he was experiencing visions or having visual hallucinations from being in prison.

ReplyDeletekidding got it changed I'll be there
ReplyDeleteWe covered some great stuff last meeting. Whether Boethius was hallucinating in his prison cell or not, he still came up with some great philosophical theories and ideas. Our reading for the next meeting is Hobbes. I personally hate this guy's philosophy and political ideas. His notion of a powerful government doesn't really appeal much to my tastes.
ReplyDeleteFactual- Is it true that Hobbes believed humans don't have souls?
Discussion- Do you think freedom or safety is more important?
