Personal Introduction: Kaitlyn Hawkins

My name is, obviously, Kaitlyn Hawkins. I am currently a double English/Psych major. Philosophy to me is simply the pursuit of wisdom. Philosophy is when someone takes the time to objectively look past all the material objects that make up our society and question our existence, our relevance to the world, and ultimately what our purpose is as one sentient group of beings. Do we deserve to be the most competent beings on the earth? Or should we marvel that we even have the ability to do all the things that we have come to take advantage of? What is meaningful? What is beautiful? What is true? What is real? Does anyone have the right to answer any of these questions, or do any of us really know anything at all? This, to me, is Philosophy.
