Official Introduction-Ryan Ramey (008)

Hello my fellow classmates, and instructor. My name is Ryan Ramey as the title shows, I am a freshman student here at MTSU majoring in Psycology for the time being. Im vey much so looking forward to this course as I am very intrerested in Philosophy, as it expresses and portrays different viewpoints from past philosophers and some significant figures who have even shaped the history of the way some cultures and or societies live thier lives out today. My interests are anything that makes one think outside of the box so this class will be of great value to my kind of mind-set. I also like to do works in poetry as well as pose questions to others about my philosophical viewpoints on things as well as what others think about my thoughts. I am a quiet individual for the most part, but I can also be very involved and of interest, especially when a conversation of great depth and magnitude is at hand for present discussion.
My definiton if philosophy is; a person's, or a collective group of individuals search for finding truth and meaning in this mystery of life. Since life is a mystery in itself to some, I believe that philosophy is a way we as individuals can form some kind of understanding for this world in which we live in, as well as what our purpose and place may be in it. I myself have many various theories and beliefs on many of the mysteries we face in life that I am sure I will get to share while being in the course of this class as we further progress. However that is for another time and these are my current views and opinions on what philosophy means to me as of now. I hope that by the end of this course, my definition of philosophy will be much more broad or even more specified, either could be a good thing in my opinion. I hope to learn much and further my knowledge of philosophy and of the many greats in the past who also shared my same vision, thank you, and see all of you all in class.
