Fact Q? True of False? Scholasticism has absolutely nothing at all to do with faith?
A: False- Scholasticism thrives form Theology in Medieval Christian times between 1050 and1350.
Discussion Q? Is Anselm views or thoughts on ontological proof valid?

Discussion:
Today's discussion involved around the topic of ontological proof of God. Anselm questions the very idea that God exist. God is known to be the ultimate and almighty being and no one greater can be conceived. This means that God must exist if nothing else can be more perfect than God.

  1. I wasn't apart of the discussion Monday but i dont agree with anselm. I agree that if God is almighty and nothing greater can be created then God must exist. I think the greater question, which all philosophers seemed to question, is which God is real and for what purpose (if any at all) did he/she create us.

  2. I don't understand why existence is equal to perfect and non-existance isn't perfection. Pure nothingness is perfection in itself. I feel that ontological proof is a poor explanation for God's existence.
